Noor’ Azmi Md Omar is a breath of fresh air to the core management team since his enlistment in Permodalan Darul Ta’zim. Being well-versed in public administration since 2011, Azmi had vested, diversified portfolios as a Johor Civil Servant over his 8 years of service. Some of his notable portfolios include his appointment as the Communication and Multimedia Officer under the Chief Minister of Johor’s Office, the Assistant Secretary at the State Secretary Office (Housing Branch) and the Chief Assistant Financial Officer under the State Treasury of Johor. An individual with a holistic background and possess a charismatic as well as youthful vibe, Azmi’s character-defining trait is his affable personality which collectively, is the ethos of his leadership style.
As the Deputy President for Communications, Administration and People (CAP), his portfolio includes but not limited to the development and implementation of an integrated strategic communication plan in order to foster Permodalan Darul Ta’zim’s corporate identity, broaden the awareness of its programs and priorities across key stakeholder audiences; and oversee all matters pertaining the Corporate Social Responsibilities (‘CSR’) for Permodalan Darul Ta’zim

Started his career working with SAFF Consultants, a consultancy firm as an engineer whose main tasks is the design and project management of building services. Clients include Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) and Johor Corporation (JCorp).
In 2001, he made a major change in his career by joining JCorp Group of Companies as an engineer specialising in the fields of asset and facilities management. Attached to the company’s Technical Department, he oversees the operation and maintenance of JCorp’s buildings covering a floor area of almost 1 million sq.ft that includes KOMTAR, Plaza Kotaraya, Menara Ansar, Terminal Larkin and Kompleks Pusat Bandar Pasir Gudang. He left JCorp in 2006 as a Senior Manager.
In 2006, he joined Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd. (CJSB) as the Head of CJSB’s Facilities Maintenance and Management Department. At CJSB he oversees the operations and facilities management of Kota Iskandar, the Johor State Administrative Centre, that covers a floor area of around 1.6 million sq.ft, 270 acres of land that includes about 100 acres of landscaped area.
Key Achievements
His major achievement to date at CJSB is the securing a 30-year Facilities Maintenance and Management contract with an expected total revenue of almost RM 500 million.

He started his career as Quantity Surveyor with the well-known Quantity Surveying consultant, KPK Quantity Surveyors (Semenanjung) Sdn Bhd. He was involved in the contract administration and overall development of Bandar Dato’ Onn, Bandar Tiram, Taman Mutiara Rini, Bandar Uda Utama and Permas Jaya from 1997 to 2006.
He joined Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd in March 2006 and was responsible to administer the Contract Management for the overall development undertaken by Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd. He was assigned as Head of Project Department on 23 January 2020.
He has 14 years of experience in Contract Management through involvement in numerous development projects namely Kota Iskandar Phase 1 development, Kota Iskandar Mosque (Parcel Q1M), Phase 2A project, Johor MAHA Pavillion project, Serdang, Selangor, Iskandar Puteri Fire and Rescue Station project, Kota Iskandar Annexe Buildings and Renovation Works project at Bangunan Dato’ Jaafar Muhammad.

He began his career in 1997 as an executive in the facilities and maintenance department at Malaysian Shipyard Engineering (MSE), today known as Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB), a company which provides a wide range of domestic and international marine and oil and gas construction services, including marine repair and marine construction. MSE also designs and fabricates skid-mounted process equipment, provides engineering construction, and builds ships.
In 2001 he joined mechanical and electrical consulting company, SAFF Consultant before joining Harta Consult Sdn Bhd in 2002, a subsidiary company of Johor Cooperation until 2007 as an executive in the facilities and maintenance department. He was responsible for maintaining office buildings such as Menara Ansar, shopping complexes such as Plaza Kotaraya, Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal, Nusa Mutiara Sports Complex, and Pasir Gudang Corporation Stadium.
With 10 years of experience in various scope of maintenance, he joined Cahaya Jauhar Sdn Bhd in November 2007 as a Senior Executive in Facilities Maintenance and Management Department. He is responsible for maintaining and managing all the facilities and systems available in Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, Johor such as electricity, elevator system, air conditioning system, integrated waste disposal system as well as tours and events.
